The Daily GlyphCatching up on the news of the week: on Tuesday, Mayor Bloomberg and Councilwoman Margarita Lopez announced a gift from the mayor's city funds of $2.5 million to help construct the new home of the Lower Eastside Girls Club. This is the kickoff of the capital campaign, the next step after 8 years of work by my wife Lyn and the staff and girls. Congratulations all around to the club and the community!
