The Daily GlyphCIW had a triumph just before they visited us this month - an agreement with Subway to increase the price paid for tomatoes by 1 cent a pound, thus raising income for workers from $10,000 a year to $17,000. This followed similar deals with MacDonald's, Taco Bell, and Burger King - all of them tough fights.
